📿🙏Feast Day of the Holy Rosary 🙏📿

This morning we gathered as a school community and prayed a decade of The Rosary together. We wanted to join with thousands of children across Ireland as part of an international campaign to get a million children praying the Rosary for unity and peace.

St Thérèse of Lisieux describes prayer like this: “For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned towards heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.”

A huge well done to all of our September certificate winners 🌟. We are so proud of all of your hard work and achievements 🏆 👏🏼

🗳️ POLLING DAY 🗳️ 

Lenamore polling station was open today for School Council elections 25/26.

The votes have been cast and counting has commenced, good luck to all candidates and congratulations on your strong manifestos!

🙏 Special thank you to local business Pakflatt for providing polling booths and a ballot box, making this a real life experience for our pupils.

🌱✨ Our Gardening Club got off to a fantastic start this week! ✨🌱

Our green-fingered gardeners rolled up their sleeves in the pollinator garden. They learned how to use real gardening tools safely, cleared away weeds to prepare the soil, and discovered the magic of leaf mould 💚

The children planted crocus bulbs that will bloom in spring and we are excited to watch them grow! 🐝🌸

Our Eco Club met this afternoon to set some targets for this year. We are very excited 🌎💚

🪽 READING EGGSPRESS🪽 

🥳 Huge congratulations to these fabulous pupils who have achieved a bronze award in Reading Eggs already! A Bronze certificate is awarded when you earn 1000 eggs or complete 3 lessons in one week. 🥳

⚽️ Primary 3 had a fabulous session with Anthony from Derry City Football Club today. They had great fun learning to throw, catch and work as part of a team 💫✨

We look forward to welcoming all of our boys & girls back to school on Friday 29th August. 

School will finish at 11.30am on this day only.

Normal school hours will resume on Monday 1st September.
